Icon Entertainment International was formed in September 1995 to handle Icon and third party film product internationally.
Icon Entertainment International has subsequently established itself as one of the leading suppliers of theatrical feature films to the independent film market establishing strong relationships with the best distributors in each territory.
Also, Icon Entertainment International has acquired a significant film library of over 200 titles for DVD and television distribution worldwide. Icon acquired the King’s Road library in 1995, titles including JACKNIFE, starring Robert De Niro and Ed Harris, THE BIG EASY starring Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin and ALL OF ME starring Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin. Then in 1996, Icon Entertainment International bought the highly successful London-based sales company Majestic Films & Television. Majestic titles include HENRY V and Mel Gibson’s directorial debut THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE. In April 2006 Icon acquired the Hammer library to represent, featuring over 100 classic titles including: DRACULA PRINCE OF DARKNESS starring Christopher Lee, THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN and FRANKENSTEIN & THE MONSTER FROM HELL both starring Peter Cushing.

Mel Gibson’s APOCALYPTO which will be released in the US on December 8th 2006 ; David Von Anken’s epic action thriller SERAPHIM FALLS starring Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson ; Nick Hurran’s romantic comedy IT’S A BOY GIRL THING starring Kevin Zegers, Samaire Armstrong, Sharon Osbourne ; taut thriller BUTTERFLY ON A WHEEL starring Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler, Maria Bello and directed by Mike Barker ; THE DARWIN AWARDS directed by Finn Taylor starring Winona Ryder and Joseph Fiennes ; John Turturro’s ROMANCE AND CIGARETTES which stars James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon and Kate Winslet and premiered In Competition at the Venice Film Festival 2005 ; THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST which took over US$600million box office worldwide, directed by Mel Gibson, starring Jim Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern, Monica Bellucci and Sergio Rubini.
